RCWL-0516 Microwave Radar Motion Sensor Module
The RCWL-0516 Microwave Radar Sensor Switch Module is a highly sensitive microwave Doppler radar motion detection module designed for detecting moving objects and human motion. Unlike traditional PIR sensors, the RCWL-0516 uses microwave radar technology, allowing it to detect movement through thin materials such as plastic, glass, and wood. This makes it ideal for smart automation, security systems, occupancy sensing, and IoT applications.
The module operates by transmitting microwave signals at approximately 3.18GHz and analyzing the reflected signals to detect motion. When movement is detected, the sensor outputs a HIGH digital signal. It offers 360-degree non-contact motion sensing with excellent sensitivity and reliable performance even in dark or high-temperature environments.
