Sensor Module MCU-219 INA I2C Interface Zero Drift Bidirectional Current Power Supply Monitoring Sensor
CJMCU-219 INA219 I2C interface zero drift bidirectional current/power monitoring sensor module
The CJMCU-219 module is a zero-drift, bidirectional current/power monitoring integrated circuit (IC) with I2C interface, which further strengthens TI’s energy-saving electronic product camp. INA219 has the industry’s highest accuracy and smallest size. It can not only monitor the voltage drop on the shunt resistor, sense the shunt supply voltage, but also calculate the power supply. The device is packaged in SOT23 and can provide a small, low-cost solution for digital current sensing in servers, notebook computers, power supplies, battery management, and automotive and telecommunications equipment.
INA219 can achieve a maximum error accuracy of 100 in the temperature range of -40C to +85C, and the maximum offset is 100 uV. The high precision of this product combined with the advantages of 12-bit resolution can help customers reduce the voltage drop on the shunt resistor as much as possible, thereby minimizing power loss and power consumption, and saving board space. The bus voltage range that the device can sense is 0 V to +26 V.
Other important features of INA219 include:
The programmable calibration register can directly read the current in amperes and the power in watts.
Up to 128 samples can be averaged to achieve filtering in noisy environments.
The I2C interface has a timeout setting, which can not only avoid bus lockup, but also provide a high-speed mode to meet communication requirements up to 3.4 MHz.
All the features of INA219 support software programming.
It is powered by a single power supply and its operating voltage is between +3.0 to +5.5V.
