The HC-SR04 Ultrasonic Sensor is a non-contact distance measurement module designed to detect nearby objects and measure the distance between the sensor and a target. It uses 40kHz ultrasonic sound waves to calculate distance from the returning echo, making it suitable for robotics, automation, and electronic sensing applications.

Operating at 5V DC, the module uses TRIG and ECHO pins for communication with compatible microcontrollers. With a typical measuring range of 2cm to 400cm and accuracy of up to 3mm under suitable conditions, it is widely used in Arduino projects, obstacle detection systems, and DIY electronics.
